Evaluation- Question 1
Overall I think it was essential we to used conventions of the Indie genre such as costume, camera angle and narrative plots so our video was effective and relatable to Indie fans. Moreover at the same time we wanted to add a level of differentiation by develop and challenge them like our use of lighting and nationality.

Magazine Adverts
Both parts of the Digipak (DVD & Magazine Advert) are to promote The Kooks, so we have to make them appeal to the audience above all else.
As The Kooks are established artists after the success of their first album we feel that were going to emulate 'The Drums' idea of not focusing on the artist, more the music and rating to promote the artist. The Kooks do this a lot on there single covers so it is a convention of the genre and our chosen artist.
